Euthanasia: the concept and the situation in Turkey.

This paper gives a brief conceptual and historical overview of euthanasia. These are supplemented by considerations of the attitudes to euthanasia and assisted suicide in Turkey. At present, euthanasia is neither accepted nor authorised in Turkey. This is due both to deontological and legal reasons. It is also not regarded positively by the general public.
