Intussusception is the invagionation of a segment of the intestine into itself. It is a serous condition that most commonly affects infants and children, but can also occur in adults. Intussusception in adults is usually caused by tumors, benign or malignant. Early diagnosis is essential to avoid treatment delays, which can increase morbidity and mortality. In older patinets and adolescents the diagnosis can be complicated due to lower incidence and variable subacute symptoms.
We report a rare case of a 27-year-old patient with increasing abdominal discomfort over several weeks. The patient experienced increasing colics, recurrent vomiting, dehydration and weight loss. Finally he was transferred to the surgical ward of our hospital. Intussusception of the small bowel was diagnosed by CT examination. Laparotomy revealed a jejunojejunal intussusception caused by a small bowel tumor.
The tumor in the jejunum, almost completely obstructed the intestinal lumen and it was resected and bowel continuity was restored. Histopathological examination revealed a submucosal leiomyoma of the jejunum.
肠套叠是一段肠管套入自身的一种情况。它是一种常见于婴儿和儿童的病症，但也可发生于成人。成人肠套叠通常由良性或恶性肿瘤引起。早期诊断对于避免治疗延误至关重要，治疗延误可能会增加发病率和死亡率。在老年患者和青少年中，由于发病率较低且症状亚急性多变，诊断可能会很复杂。
我们报告一例罕见病例，一名27岁患者数周来腹部不适逐渐加重。患者出现绞痛加剧、反复呕吐、脱水及体重减轻。最终他被转入我院外科病房。通过CT检查诊断为小肠肠套叠。剖腹探查发现由小肠肿瘤引起的空肠-空肠套叠。
空肠内的肿瘤几乎完全阻塞肠腔，将其切除并恢复了肠管连续性。组织病理学检查显示为空肠黏膜下平滑肌瘤。
