: The purpose of this research is to propose a procedure to measure the vertical larynx position in the neck at rest in young adults without vocal complaint. : Transversal cohort study. : There were 68 subjects, aged between 18 to 44 years, 33 female and 35 male. The anatomical landmarks used for this research study were the right and left jaw angle (RJA and LJA), the centre of the cricoid arch cartilage (CC) and the centre of the sternal furculum (SF). In order to obtain the measures, the subjects were asked to be sitting still with their heads stretched up to the highest possible position. The devices used were a drawing compass and a 20-centimeter ruler. : The measurement procedure proved to be easy and it did not show any discomfort to the participants. There was no statistically significant difference between genders related to the vertical larynx position in the neck; however the women presented higher larynx position than men. The vertical larynx position was easily obtained and it seems to be a very interesting parameter to intra-subject clinical follow-up.
本研究的目的是提出一种在无嗓音问题的年轻成年人静息状态下测量颈部喉垂直位置的方法。横向队列研究。共有68名受试者,年龄在18至44岁之间,女性33名,男性35名。本研究使用的解剖标志为左右颌角(RJA和LJA)、环状软骨弓中心(CC)和胸骨柄中心(SF)。为了获得测量值,要求受试者静止坐着,头部尽量向上伸展。使用的器械为绘图圆规和一把20厘米的尺子。测量过程证明很容易,且未给参与者带来任何不适。在颈部喉垂直位置方面,性别之间没有统计学上的显著差异;然而,女性的喉位置高于男性。喉垂直位置很容易获得,似乎是受试者内临床随访中一个非常有趣的参数。
