Abstract
Our case of a pure small cell carcinoma of the prostate was found concomitantly and separately from an adjacent primary adenocarcinoma of the rectum. There was no evidence of adenocarcinomatous differentiation in the prostate tumor and no primary small cell carcinoma was detected in other organs.
