Primary lymphoma of the spleen is a rare clinical entity. In our study, a group of 110 patients with various hematological disorders were subjected to splenectomy over a period of 20 years. We have been able to isolate 7 patients with primary lymphoma of the spleen. Main indications of splenectomy in these patients were anemia and leukopenia. There was no mortality, but morbidity was quite high (43%). We conclude that splenectomy may be a useful treatment in patients with cytopenias secondary to primary lymphoma of the spleen refractory to other types of therapy.
脾脏原发性淋巴瘤是一种罕见的临床病症。在我们的研究中，一组110例患有各种血液系统疾病的患者在20年的时间里接受了脾切除术。我们成功分离出7例脾脏原发性淋巴瘤患者。这些患者脾切除的主要指征是贫血和白细胞减少。无死亡病例，但发病率相当高（43%）。我们得出结论，对于因脾脏原发性淋巴瘤继发血细胞减少且对其他类型治疗无效的患者，脾切除术可能是一种有效的治疗方法。
