The present experiments have shown that the activity of organic pyrophosphatase from microsomes of wheat seedlings is strongly inhibited by alpha, beta-methylene and gamma-thio-ATP derivatives, which inhibit the hydrolysis of both ATP and ADP. It has been found that the main products of ATP hydrolysis are not ADP but AMP and orthophosphate. The rate of hydrolysis of ATP is not increased by addition of ADP to the incubation medium. The ratio of the reaction products, Pi and AMP, amounts to 1.7-1.8 with ATP as substrate and is close to 1.0 with ADP.
目前的实验表明,小麦幼苗微粒体中的有机焦磷酸酶活性受到α,β-亚甲基和γ-硫代-ATP衍生物的强烈抑制,这些衍生物抑制ATP和ADP的水解。已发现ATP水解的主要产物不是ADP,而是AMP和正磷酸盐。向孵育培养基中添加ADP不会提高ATP的水解速率。以ATP为底物时,反应产物Pi和AMP的比例为1.7-1.8,以ADP为底物时接近1.0。
