[The theoretical and practical aspects of oral rehydration in diarrhea in infants and small children. II. Oral hydration in acute diarrhea in infants and children].

In the first part are shown historical data of oral rehydration, the therapeutical objects, the water and electrolyte requirements in the acute diarrheal disease. After an appraisal of the dehydration state, solutions and methods of oral rehydration in the acute diarrheal disease (ADD) are presented. In the final part are shown the complications, the limits of the oral rehydration in ADD, as well as the conclusions.
