Two patients with Cushing's syndrome are reported. The syndrome was the consequence of relapse after transphenoidal resection of a pituitary tumor in one and due to occult ACTH secretion in the other. Determination of ACTH after bilateral petrosal sampling in both cases and after systemic venous sampling at different sites in one, allowed localization of the source of hormone secretion which was confined to one side of the hypophysis in one case and to the thorax in the other. Hypophyseal resection in the first case and bilateral adrenal resection in the other were performed successfully. The value of this diagnostic test is analyzed.
报告了两名库欣综合征患者。该综合征在一例中是垂体瘤经蝶窦切除术后复发的结果，在另一例中是由于隐匿性促肾上腺皮质激素分泌所致。对两例患者均进行了双侧岩下窦采血后的促肾上腺皮质激素测定，并对其中一例在不同部位进行了全身静脉采血，从而确定了激素分泌的来源，一例局限于垂体一侧，另一例局限于胸部。第一例进行了垂体切除术，第二例进行了双侧肾上腺切除术，均获成功。分析了该项诊断试验的价值。
