[To strengthen the academic morality standard for promoting the further development of ophthalmology].

It is imperative and urgent to strength the academic ethic construction in ophthalmology in China. In the rapid development of ophthalmology in recent years, there exit some manifests of academic ethic anomy and unhealthy climate. We should adopt some effective measures to standardize the academic behavior, and clean and create the favourable academic behavior, in order to promote the academic activities in ophthalmology. The rule on the academic ethic standard by Chinese Ophthalmological Society published in this journal is an important measure for strengthening the academic ethic construction in ophthalmology, and deserve to be noted and practiced by all of ophthalmologists and visual researchers.
