The level of MBP antibody in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and serum of 20 rabbits with EAE was determined with ELISA respectively before and after sensitization with MBP. The results showed that after sensitization the level of the antibody in CSF increased in accordance with the degree of severity of the EAE. While the increase of the serum was not parallel while the state of the disease. This study suggested that the determination of the level of MBP antibody might be of help in the diagnosis of demyelinative disease of the central nervous system and in monitoring the course and estimating the prognosis of the disease.
用ELISA法分别测定了20只患实验性自身免疫性脑脊髓炎(EAE)的家兔在致敏前和用髓鞘碱性蛋白(MBP)致敏后的脑脊液(CSF)和血清中MBP抗体水平。结果显示,致敏后CSF中抗体水平随EAE严重程度增加而升高。而血清中抗体升高与病情不平行。本研究提示,测定MBP抗体水平可能有助于中枢神经系统脱髓鞘疾病的诊断以及监测病情进程和评估疾病预后。
