[Suicide prevention in Québec : data drawn from a statistical study.].

This article exposes the principal results of a statistical analysis of the phenomenon of suicide in Quebec, in relation to its magnitude, to regional variations, to its relation to sex, age and to marital status. Basing herself on this analysis and on the ecological model of suicide currently under elaboration, the author discusses the orientations to be given to preventive programs.
