Abstract

INTRODUCTION

With microsurgical operations one of the main risk factors is physiological tremor. To reduce it, microsurgeons usually fix their forearms and hands up to the fingertips IV-V. on supporting desks (armrests), and on the bone (skull) and skin being operated on.

AIM

To improve further microsurgical technique which reduce the tremor.

METHODS

The new technique gives microsurgeons support for fingertips I. II. and III. due to the "Bethlehem bridge" that can be placed quite close to the site of operation.

RESULTS

An approximately tenfold reduction of tremor can be achieved due to the fixation of the crucial I. II. and III. fingertips, which hold the operating instruments.

CONCLUSION

The microsurgical operations could be performed at higher precision level.
