A synergy model of nursing education.

This article proposes the use of a synergy model of nursing education that can be used as a blueprint for the nurse educator and learner to facilitate acquisition of knowledge, skills, and values across a nursing career. Too often, a mismatch occurs between educators, learners, and the system in which they practice. A synergy model provides a way to close this gap and enhance the connection between the three entities. This model may be implemented in academic and healthcare institutions for the purpose of improving nursing education outcomes.
