Unions are revolting against NHS reform, with Unison winning a motion to condemn it at the Labour conference. They are demanding the government allows more time to implement reform and balance the books, and communicates more effectively with NHS staff. There are widespread calls to allow the NHS to compete equally with the private and voluntary sectors.
