In an infant with an inborn defect of the galactokinase, a diffuse turbidity of the lenses was observed before the onset of dietetic therapy at the age of 5 weeks. 2 1/2 years later, the lenses were almost clear, however, typical zonular opacities were revealed at the slit lamp.
