Abstract
The Medicare trustees' latest report prompted calls for reform on Capitol Hill. With the "45% trigger" activated, more cuts could be proposed. "Reform is needed and time is of the essence," says Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, left. "The longer we delay, the larger the required adjustments will be, and the burden of making those adjustments will fall more heavily on future generations".
