Abstract
Nuclear scintigraphy in the evaluation of patients with cancer is a significant part of the practice of clinical nuclear medicine. The oncologic applications in nuclear medicine are dynamic in that traditional techniques are undergoing change due to the development of new pharmaceutical agents and instrumentation. New scintigraphic applications in oncologic diagnosis, staging, and monitoring of therapy are emerging. The impact of these tests on the clinical management of cancer is significant.
