Abstract

Scientific archives for biomedicine have only recently been brought to the attention of the scholarly world. The archives conserved in the Section have different origins, only loosely related to the University of Rome; together they fully illustrate the achievements and shortcomings of biological and medical research in Italy from the late 19th century to the present.
