Scissors are the unquestionable dissection tool; all other surgical tools retire, hold back or separate structures and tissues so that one lone scissors complies with the main function during an operation. However the ideal scissors, designed for general cutting tasks and dissection in any place in the body does not exist; proof of this is the enormous variety of scissors available to surgeons.
剪刀无疑是解剖工具；所有其他外科手术工具都是用来退缩、阻挡或分离结构和组织的，这样在手术过程中只有一把剪刀符合主要功能。然而，并不存在适用于全身任何部位的一般切割任务和解剖的理想剪刀；外科医生可用的剪刀种类繁多就是证明。
