Clinicians, in defining cerebral vascular syndromes, recognize embolism to the superior and inferior divisions of the middle cerebral artery in addition to embolism of the individual branches. In the present study 14 examples of arteriographically visualized divisional occlusion are analyzed, and a good correlation is demonstrated between the roentgenologic and clinical findings.
