355 apprentices between the age of 15 and 20 were examined. The results show the present state of health, according to the number of patients sent to specialists for diagnosing, controlling and for therapy. There were 69 patients (19.4%) suffering from orthopedic, 52 (14.6%) from internal, 39 (11%) from ophthalmological diseases, 16 patients (4.5%) with adipositas, 6 (1.1%) who suffered from ear-nose- and throat-disease and 6 (1.1%) with dermatological problems. Continuous preventive examinations of elder children and young persons seem indispensable. This is a call to paediatricians and health authorities.
