Abstract

The polarographic respiration studies of isolated liver cells from normal and thyroidectomised rats show that oxygen consumption rate is decreased by 40% after thyroidectomy. The number of specific binding sites estimated with 125I labelled T3 experiments, is about 130 per cell.
