The laser is certainly one of the most important discoveries of this century. Laser means: Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. The characteristics of laser radiation are coherence (same phase, amplitude and direction), monochromaticity, and collimation. Using by laparoscopy, it is possible to obtain cutting, vaporisation and hemostasis. Each laser is defined by wavelength specific for each different medical application. One should remember, however, that the laser is only an instrument, not a technic.
激光无疑是本世纪最重要的发现之一。激光的意思是：受激辐射光放大。激光辐射的特点是相干性（相同的相位、振幅和方向）、单色性和准直性。通过腹腔镜使用激光，可以实现切割、汽化和止血。每种激光都由针对每种不同医学应用的特定波长定义。然而，应该记住，激光只是一种仪器，而不是一种技术。
