Report one case of ectopic spleen simulating a renal tumor. We performed a review of etiopathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment.
We present the case of a 54-year-old splenectomized female patient with the incidental diagnosis on ultrasound of a left kidney upper pole mass simulating a renal tumor.
After the performance of CT scan, and with the suspicion of renal neoplasia, the patient underwent tumorectomy with the pathologic diagnosis of the specimen compatible with supernumerary spleen.
We emphasize the importance of including pseudo masses of splenic origin in the differential diagnosis of left renal, adrenal and retroperitoneal tumors. We emphasize the importance of CT scan as the imaging test of choice, and gammagraphy as a complementary test. We point out conservative attitude as the most suitable in cases of asymptomatic pseudomass of splenic origin.
报告1例误诊为肾肿瘤的异位脾脏病例。我们对其发病机制、诊断及治疗进行了综述。
我们报告1例54岁女性患者，该患者行脾切除术后，超声偶然发现左肾上极有一肿块，疑似肾肿瘤。
CT扫描后，鉴于怀疑肾肿瘤，患者接受了肿瘤切除术，术后病理诊断标本为额外脾脏。
我们强调在左肾、肾上腺及腹膜后肿瘤的鉴别诊断中，应考虑脾脏来源的假肿块。我们强调CT扫描作为首选影像学检查的重要性，γ照相术作为补充检查的重要性。我们指出，对于无症状的脾脏来源假肿块病例，保守态度最为合适。
