Myocardial infarction is very rare in a neonate with structurally normal coronary arteries. We report a case in which myocardial infarction was complicated by a left ventricular aneurysm in the setting of normal coronary arteries. There was an associated muscular ventricular septal defect. All defects were diagnosed by cross-sectional echocardiography, angiography and myocardial scintigraphy.
