The authors discuss the biomechanical features of the "Biodirect" cementless prosthesis, which has been used for over 6 years in the treatment of displaced femoral neck fractures. The long-term clinical and radiographic results of this study were generally favorable and seemed directly proportional to the accuracy of the implantation technique.
