Hypoglycemic attack had been reported as one of the medical complications in anorexia nervosa.
We present a 25-year-old man who was diagnosed earlier with anorexia nervosa, presented with an episode of dissociative state during which he was caught for shoplifting.
In the history, he had a few episodes of fainting spells, which are most possibly due to hypoglycemia. There was no evidence to suggest any misdeeds to support that the stealing was intentional.
Hypoglycemic attack may be common in anorexia nervosa, but this is a rare case with medico-legal implication.
低血糖发作曾被报道为神经性厌食症的医学并发症之一。
我们报告一名25岁男性，他早前被诊断为神经性厌食症，在一次分离状态发作期间因行窃被捕。
在病史中，他有几次昏厥发作，极有可能是由低血糖引起的。没有证据表明存在任何不当行为以支持盗窃是故意的。
低血糖发作在神经性厌食症中可能很常见，但这是一个具有法医学意义的罕见病例。
