To report bilateral hypopyon as an unusual presenting feature of chronic myeloid leukemia (CML).
Observational case report.
A 68-year-old male presenting with bilateral hypopyon uveitis underwent hematological investigations and cytology of hypopyon.
Blood smear revealed increased leucocyte count with presence of abnormal cells (myelocytes, band forms, and promyelocytes) suggestive of CML. Cytopathology of hypopyon revealed predominance of lymphocytes and few plasma cells. CML was confirmed by hematological investigations. Patient was initiated on chemotherapy under the care of an oncologist and is stable.
Elderly patients presenting with hypopyon uveitis should be investigated to rule out masquerade syndrome.
报告双侧前房积脓作为慢性髓性白血病（CML）一种不寻常的表现特征。
观察性病例报告。
一名出现双侧前房积脓性葡萄膜炎的68岁男性接受了血液学检查及前房积脓的细胞学检查。
血液涂片显示白细胞计数增加，存在异常细胞（髓细胞、带状核细胞和早幼粒细胞），提示为慢性髓性白血病。前房积脓的细胞病理学显示淋巴细胞占优势，浆细胞较少。通过血液学检查确诊为慢性髓性白血病。患者在肿瘤学家的护理下开始接受化疗，病情稳定。
出现前房积脓性葡萄膜炎的老年患者应进行检查以排除伪装综合征。
