Twenty-five patients with high accommodative convergence/accommodation (AC/A) ratios and near esotropia of 15 to 35 prism diopters were treated with a 6- to 8-mm unilateral medial rectus recession according to the near deviation. In 24 patients (96%), the esodeviation was aligned within 10 delta, with a follow up ranging from 3 to 7 years. Only one patient had greater than 10 delta of esotropia (14 delta), and none became exotropic. This procedure appears to be a safe and effective method in the treatment of esotropia with high AC/A ratios, in a selected group of patients.
25例高调节性集合/调节（AC/A）比率且近距内斜视15至35棱镜度的患者，根据近距斜视度接受了6至8毫米的单侧内直肌后徙术。24例患者（96%）的内斜视在10棱镜度内得到矫正，随访时间为3至7年。只有1例患者的内斜视度数大于10棱镜度（14棱镜度），且无一例变为外斜视。在特定的一组患者中，该手术似乎是治疗高AC/A比率内斜视的一种安全有效的方法。
