Abstract

A new Mg-Mg-bonded compound stabilized by a doubly reduced alpha-diimine ligand, K(THF)(3)[LMg-MgL] (L = (2,6-(i)Pr(2)C(6)H(3))NC(Me)(2-)), has been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and density functional theory analysis. The Mg-Mg bond length is 2.9370(18) A.

一种由双还原α-二亚胺配体稳定的新型镁-镁键合化合物[K(THF)₃]₂[LMg-MgL](L = [(2,6-(异丙基)₂C₆H₃)NC(甲基)]₂(2-))已通过单晶X射线衍射和密度泛函理论分析进行了合成和表征。镁-镁键长为2.9370(18) Å。
