Cognitive therapy of anger management: theoretical and practical considerations.

Cognitive therapy, known for its treatment of depression, is fast becoming an approach to treating a wide variety of psychosocial phenomena. This article explores a model for anger management that incorporates elements of cognitive theory. The basic premises of cognitive theory will be presented. The application of these premises to the control of anger will be discussed.
