To explore the correlation of ZNF217 expression to the carcinogenesis and progression of human ovarian cancer.
Immunohistochemistry and real-time RT-PCR were used to detect ZNF217 expression in human ovarian cystadenocarcinoma, ovarian cystadenoma and normal ovary tissues.
The expression levels of ZNF217 protein and mRNA in ovarian cystadenocarcinoma was significantly higher than those in matched ovarian cystadenoma and normal tissues (P<0.05). No significant difference was found in the expression between ovarian cystadenoma and normal ovarian tissues (P>0.05). The mRNA expression in the specimens was consistent with the protein expression of ZNF217 (P<0.05).
ZNF217 gene expression is closely correlated to the occurrence and clinical stages of ovarian carcinomas, suggesting that ZNF217 can be an important candidate gene responsible for the occurrence and progression of ovarian carcinomas.

采用免疫组织化学和实时逆转录聚合酶链反应(RT-PCR)检测ZNF217在人卵巢囊腺癌、卵巢囊腺瘤及正常卵巢组织中的表达。
卵巢囊腺癌中ZNF217蛋白和mRNA的表达水平显著高于配对的卵巢囊腺瘤及正常组织(P<0.05)。卵巢囊腺瘤与正常卵巢组织之间的表达无显著差异(P>0.05)。标本中的mRNA表达与ZNF217蛋白表达一致(P<0.05)。
ZNF217基因表达与卵巢癌的发生及临床分期密切相关,提示ZNF217可能是卵巢癌发生和进展的重要候选基因。
