Abstract

We propose a model for working with multiproblem families that is based on provider-client conceptual frameworks. The model includes primary areas of conflict in client-provider relationships (values, control, and information), and suggestions for effective intervention strategies. It delineates ways to empower families and to assist nurses in achieving greater professional satisfaction.
