Six young female patients suffering from recurrent uveitis, all of them HLA B-5 positive, were followed-up 2-7 years (mean 4.5 years). Anterior hypopyon uveitis was present in two patients, retinal vasculitis in all, exudative recurrent retinal detachment in two, resulting in phthysis in one patient. Complete clinical work-up as well as serology were within normal limits. The effect of the corticosteroid therapy applied in all patients was dubious, while Cyclosporine gave only temporary relief in one patient. Promising vitreoretinal surgery was suggested to one patient.
六名患有复发性葡萄膜炎的年轻女性患者，均为HLA B - 5阳性，随访2至7年（平均4.5年）。两名患者出现前房积脓性葡萄膜炎，所有患者均有视网膜血管炎，两名患者出现渗出性复发性视网膜脱离，其中一名患者导致眼球萎缩。全面的临床检查以及血清学检查均在正常范围内。所有患者应用的皮质类固醇疗法效果存疑，而环孢素仅使一名患者暂时缓解。建议一名患者进行有前景的玻璃体视网膜手术。
