Evidenced-based review of clinical studies on direct pulp capping.

The delivery of vital pulp therapy is a field replete with controversies regarding clinical outcomes, risk factors (eg, primary vs permanent teeth), and optimal treatments. This is an ideal topic for summary analyses of the evidence-based literature that focus on study quality, advantages, and limitations. In this year's inaugural special issue on evidence-based endodontics, we provide an analysis of two recent clinical trials on direct pulp capping in primary teeth.
