Abstract

Those cells and whole organisms which are able of decoding of informational signals and adequately reacting to them, can adapt themselves to ambient conditions and thus preserve themselves during onto- and phylogenesis. Regulatory molecules related to hormones, transmitters and pheromones, play a specific role of chemical signals. Target cells have specific signal systems for realization of these signals. Latest findings have established some general principles of structural-functional organization of these signal systems in the cells of higher eucaryotes and even procaryotes.
