L-asparaginase--antileukemia agent.

This paper describes the most recent development in the field of biosynthesis of L-Asparaginase by means of various culture, purification by Column Chromatography, informations of the Catabolite repression of L-Asparaginase and its metabolism in mycobacteria. The separation, purification studies, idea about the effect of different PH on activity, quaternary structure and the effect of specific antibodies on catalytic activity of L-Asparaginase is discussed. This material shows the role of L-Asparaginase in acute lymphocytic leukemia.
