On the basis of a considerable number of carefully designed, representative, and controlled studies adjuvant chemotherapy was considered uneffective for patients with colorectal cancer. In the light of the very recently published results obtained with the combination of 5-fluorouracil plus levamisole this option must now be reconsidered. However, the statement of the NCI that all patients with Dukes'C cancer should be offered this combination appears premature.
基于大量精心设计、具有代表性且受到控制的研究，辅助化疗曾被认为对结直肠癌患者无效。鉴于最近公布的5-氟尿嘧啶加左旋咪唑联合用药的结果，现在必须重新考虑这一选择。然而，美国国立癌症研究所提出的应为所有Dukes'C期癌症患者提供这种联合用药的说法似乎为时过早。
