Hereditary haemochromatosis: patient support and education.

Hereditary haemochromatosis is a genetic disorder resulting in iron accumulation. Nurses have a key role in increasing public awareness and educating patients and their families about the condition to enable early detection and effective management. This article provides a brief overview of haemochromatosis to promote informed nursing practice.
