[Assessment and quality assurance of medical technology--Scandinavian cooperation].

A Nordic and to some extent European co-operation has been established with regard to the safety of medical technology and assessment of quality in particularly three fields, viz. registration of accidents and near-accidents, rules of approval of medical equipment, and evaluation of medical technology. A collective Nordic action can affect the quality requirements and standards which then apply to medico-technical equipment in the EC and EFTA.
