Abstract

Several concepts for associative holographic memories have been previously described that rely upon Braggangle selection in. the recording medium during parallel search readout of the memory. A new format of page-oriented associative holographic memory is proposed in this paper that relies upon constructive and destructive interference to provide a null signal output for the perfect match during associative search readout. The readout signal in this new format is not affected by page size, and the memory format also allows for limited parallel digital processing, making the holographic approach more compatible with present electronic associative memory processors.
