Soft-tissue bunionectomy with first metatarsal ostectomy using minimal incision technique.

Correcting a mild to moderate bunion deformity through a partial ostectomy of the first metatarsal head and soft-tissue release around the first metatarsophalangeal joint can be done safely and effectively through a minimal incision approach. The results of a 12-year follow-up study on 58 feet are evaluated.
