BACKGROUND
Xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis (XGP) is a specific form of chronic inflammatory kidney disease rarely seen in children. The Symptoms are often vague and non-specific
AIM
the aim of this paper is to return the particularities of imaging features in xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis, insisting on differential diagnosis with renal tumors, especially in case of no renal stone or tract obstruction evidence.
CASE
We report a case of xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis in a 2-year-old boy involving the lower renal pole which demonstrates the diagnostic difficulties encountered in this disease
CONCLUSION
Xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis is a rare condition in children and should be included in the differential diagnosis of a child presenting a renal mass.
背景
黄色肉芽肿性肾盂肾炎（XGP）是一种特殊类型的慢性炎症性肾脏疾病，在儿童中罕见。其症状通常模糊且不具特异性。
目的
本文旨在阐述黄色肉芽肿性肾盂肾炎影像学特征的特殊性，强调与肾肿瘤的鉴别诊断，尤其是在无肾结石或尿路梗阻证据的情况下。
病例
我们报告一例2岁男孩的黄色肉芽肿性肾盂肾炎，病变累及肾下极，展示了该疾病所遇到的诊断困难。
结论
黄色肉芽肿性肾盂肾炎在儿童中罕见，对于出现肾肿块的儿童应将其纳入鉴别诊断。
