[Adjuvant therapies in breast carcinoma].

During the last two decades the treatment strategy in operable breast cancer has been revolutionized by the introduction of adjuvant systemic therapies. This article reviews the basis for the use of adjuvant systemic therapy and summarizes the results achieved so far. Practical guidelines are formulated.
