A dozen employers and their managed care plan partners are participating in a new study to test whether patients' perceptions of their health status can help to measure quality of care in managed care settings. The study, which the participants say is the largest of its kind, illustrates the growing efforts by employers throughout the United States to demonstrate the quality of health care offered to their employees.
