The surface morphology of the trypanorhynchan pleurocercoid larva of Otobothrium sp. was studied by scanning electron microscopy. Some morphological features reported here are unique; these include the presence of three morphologically different microtriche like structures: wide tridigitate and narrow cylindrical elongate structures on the adhesive surface and the margin of the bothridia respectively, and short knob-like on the body of the larva. The topography of the scolex was also described.
