[The problem of usefulness of the philosophical concept of disease in medicine].

This work focuses on contemporary discussions devoted to the general concept of disease and its relevance to clinical practice. Some authors (e.g., Hesslow) argue against a key role of the general concept of disease in clinical decision-making. Other authors (Pellegrino, Clouser, Culver, and Gert) emphasize the significance of the concept of disease in public health and in the methodology of medical practice.
