Scintigraphic localization of a bleeding leiomyosarcoma of the proximal jejunum.

We report a case of scintigraphic detection and localization of a bleeding leiomyosarcoma of the jejunum utilizing Tc-99m labeled red blood cells. Despite conflicting mesenteric arteriograms, the patient underwent surgery based upon the scintigraphic study, resulting in a successful outcome.
