Strengthening patients' meaningful involvement enhances the results of health-related projects and contributes toward patient-centered, equitable health care across the European Union (EU). Although current EU health policy reflects this premise, a concerted strategy to achieve patient involvement is, however, missing. European Patients' Forum-led Value+ project has represented in this respect the first effort ever made to produce an overarching EU-wide analysis of current practices and trends regarding patient involvement in EU health-related projects. Through the extensive use of qualitative, case-based research methods and effective exchange of experiences among key stakeholders, Value+ made an effective contribution to raising awareness about this important issue.
加强患者的有意义参与可提高与健康相关项目的成果，并有助于在整个欧盟实现以患者为中心的公平医疗保健。尽管当前的欧盟卫生政策体现了这一前提，但实现患者参与的协调战略却付诸阙如。在这方面，由欧洲患者论坛牵头的“价值+”项目是首次对欧盟范围内患者参与与健康相关项目的当前做法和趋势进行全面分析的尝试。通过广泛运用定性的、基于案例的研究方法以及关键利益相关者之间的有效经验交流，“价值+”项目为提高对这一重要问题的认识做出了有效贡献。
