[The oxygen regimen of the periodontal tissues in adolescents].

Studies of changes in gingival oxygen tension (pO2) carried out in adolescents with initial inflammatory processes in the periodontium have revealed that pO2 reduced negligibly over the course of periodontitis development. Hypoxic test has detected essential changes in pO2 drop and recovery rates in gingival tissues, which may be a sign in the differential diagnosis of gingivitis and periodontitis.
